Massey's was established in 1972 by Darrell and Larry Massey. The business originally started as a supplier to beginners, collegiate, trained and experienced athletes. We then served as a retail outlet for the community and a wholesaler for many growing companies such as Puma, Nike, Patagonia and North Face .And In 1997, our company opened the doors of our new business location on north of New Orleans and Lake Pontchartrain. But, after almost thirty yrs. of loving care, both Darell and Larry Massey passed away in a rather short time period. The company was then taken over by Sally Massey, Mike Massey, and Bobby Johnson. In 2005 they started an e-commerce site, masseys.net. Massey's then established a brand new, cutting edge outdoor store located in Baton Rouge at the Towne Center mall. The state of the art store highlights brand sections put together, designed, and managed by of our merchant -partners. The store is immediately successful and provides for the needs of both Baton Rouge residents. Because of the tremendous success, Massey's opens a new store, depot and distribution center in the heart of New Orleans, they expanded their product line into bikes, skateboards, flip flops, footwear, gear, clothing for hikers and backpackers which quickly become fast growing categories.
