The business was established in May of 2000, right after a year of active product development. My husband Allan and I got a customized book as a gift for our first son in 1998, although we absolutely adored the fact that it was personalized, we considered the thought that the computer graphics and drawings could have been more suitable and the story more customized to the child. Hence, I See Me! was born. My husband, who is a graphic designer, and I created our very first book My Very Own Name as a team. Our aim was to make educational and informative books that would instill knowledge on young children and help them to identify letters and spell their names. After I created the idea and wrote the book, we conceptualized together to establish the characters in the book. Allan found and signed up an illustrator, and outlined the book, while I wrote the business plan. We are gratified to say our books have become well known among famous personalities which include Courteney Cox, Brooke Shields and Jessica Alba.
